LCFC Partners with Fanbase for Club App

The app will provide new levels of fan engagement and improved digital ticketing.

Lansing Common announced its 2023 home game dates today, along with a partnership with Fanbase, an online platform that gives fans access to memberships, digital ticketing, and exclusive content.

The collaboration simplifies the fan experience with digital ticketing, reducing wait times at the gate and giving fans a new way to stay up-to-date with their community club through the branded Fanbase Clubs app for Android and iOS

Fanbase also provides club officials with a tool to manage memberships, ticketing, and fan engagement on a single platform, reducing costs and saving essential time spent on administrative tasks. This time-savings allows club officials to place additional focus on making the gameday experience enjoyable and continuing to grow the club’s impact on the Lansing area community.

Fanbase CEO Alasdair Crawley said ”the Fanbase sports operating system will bring key members of the Lansing Common FC team together onto one platform for the first time to drive fan engagement and sales, spearheaded by the cutting-edge Lansing Common Mobile app via Fanbase. The team behind Lansing Common should save a heap of admin time and we hope to see an increase in gameday revenues across the season by bringing ticket commerce, data, and communication together for the first time.”

Lansing Common President Eric Walcott added, “the Fanbase partnership excites us because it gives us a new way to connect with fans, simplifies the ticketing experience, and allows us to deliver unique content to our fans in creative new ways.”

Lansing Common kicks off its 2023 season with the free Community Soccer Kickoff on Sunday, May 7 at 2 PM at Eastern Stadium, followed by its first home game on May 13 at 6 PM at Eastern Stadium against Troy United. Tickets are available through the Fanbase app or on the Lansing Common website.

Lansing Common FC Announces First Player Signings for 2023

A pair of returning players kick off roster announcements for the upcoming Midwest Premier League season.

Lansing Common FC announced its first player signings for the 2023 Midwest Premier League season today, bringing two core contributors back from a team that finished second in 2022. Midfielder Julian Birge (East Lansing) returns for his third season with the Robins and has been one of the club’s crucial players in its first two seasons. Defender Landon Hungerford (DeWitt, Niagara University) played every minute of the 2022 league season as a key piece of one of the top defenses in the league.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the progress that we’ve made at LCFC,” said Birge. “Playing with the awesome teammates I’ve had the last two years, and hopefully giving the amazing fans more to cheer about this summer.” Birge, an East Lansing native who played collegiately for Alma College is second on Lansing Common’s all-time leading scorer’s list with seven goals in the club’s first two seasons.

Hungerford appeared in nine games last fall for Niagara University as the Purple Eagles finished fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Hungerford said he is “looking forward to being back in a great team environment with many talented players at LCFC while having tremendous support from the community.”

“As our roster takes shape we are extremely excited to bring back many core players,” said Head Coach Brent Sorg. “It’s important for stability & growth to bring back experienced players while sprinkling in new talent. With just over two months before we begin the journey, everyone is eager for the season to begin.”

More roster announcements will be made in the upcoming days. The club is holding two open tryouts this spring, on April 2 and April 30 at Lansing Eastern Stadium. Registration is available on the club website.

Lansing Common will kick off their 2023 season in early May. The complete schedule will be announced in March and fans can purchase their memberships and season tickets at lansingcommonfc.com/memberships
