Getting to Know Alex Scott

As our inaugural season approaches, we wanted to give you more of an introduction to the players who will represent Lansing Common on the field this summer. Today, it’s time to get to know Alex Scott.

What position do you play and what do you think Lansing Common fans will enjoy most about the way you play?

I play left-back and fans will enjoy how I go into every tackle with intensity. 

What is the #1 thing you are hoping to work on with the team this season?

My ability to attack the opposing backline to get as many crosses in as I can. 

Playing soccer in Marquette in March seems pretty intense. What are the worst conditions you’ve played in since you started at Northern Michigan?

Last year in the GLIAC conference tournament we played in a blizzard where they had to plow the field 3 times during the game and it was below freezing temperatures. 

You are coming back to play with your old high school coach, Brent Sorg, what would you say has changed the most about you since you last played for him?

My technical ability on the ball has greatly improved. 

What was your favorite moment you have ever had on a soccer field?

Beating Northwood University at home this past season. 

What hobbies do you have when you aren’t playing soccer?

I enjoy golfing and fishing.
